Geoquest Maroc contributed to the duplication of the provincial road 4014 in Rabat, a key infrastructure project.
The objective was to improve traffic conditions between Rabat and Ain Aouda, particularly during peak hours, while enhancing the overall level of service and regional connectivity. It also places strong emphasis on landscape integration and the quality of the roadside environment, ensuring seamless integration into its surroundings.
The project includes the widening to 2×2 lanes of the PR4014 and 4025, over a total length of 15.5 km. Geoquest specifically contributed to the 4014 section (4 km), which crosses the Oued Akrach valley along a hillside alignment with significant elevation differences and complex geotechnical conditions.
To address these constraints, a Reinforced Earth solution was adopted. This variant was proposed by the contractor VIAS, in close collaboration with Geoquest, the design office ATOMAS, and geotechnical expert M.EJJAAOUANI. The structure is founded on rock substratum, with shortened reinforcements at the base to ensure slope stability while optimizing excavation volumes.
